We received a letter in the mail today from one of the physicians that attended to Andrew. She was sending it to a referral physician here in the Salt Lake Valley. We keep emphasizing what a miracle Andrew is but here is another physician, confirming his recovery, as amazing. I thought I would share part of the letter.
"I have requested a patient of mine, Andrew Gardner, see you in follow up for his otology care. He is a delightful 9 year old male who has had a miraculous recovery from a near drowning accident here in Idaho on the Salmon River. He was airlifted to St. Luke's hospital where he was resuscitated in the Pediatric ICU. He had initial multi-organ failure and still has some shortness of breath, but has had what appears to be a complete neurological recovery. At the time of his initial transport, his pupils were fixed. He had no purposeful movement or neurological activity, so this was quite an amazing recovery."
Andrew continues to recover everyday growing stronger and stronger. He actually got up to day and walked to the couch unassisted. We have a true modern day miracle and have no explanation for his full recovery other than the many prayers we have received in our families behalf. We love each one of you and are truly grateful for each of your sacrifices!

I'm so glad that he's doing better each day! He already has been a strong spiritual influence in many people's live's through this experience, and I know the rest of his life will show the same results; bringing people closer to the Lord! He is a special boy!
Thanks for sharing this with us! It has been a tremendous experience for our whole family to pray for Andrew, we are so happy that he is doing well. So grateful for the Lord and his love for all of us!
